nstallation and Operation Manual for GTYQ-HK301 Point-Type Combustible Gas Detector
I. Safety Precautions
- Read and fully understand this manual before installing, commissioning, or operating the detector.
- Never open the detector cover in environments with flammable gases or vapors. Use a portable combustible gas detector to verify the absence of hazardous gases. Perform regular calibration and maintenance.
- Inspect and clean the detector’s air inlet periodically to prevent blockages from dust or debris, which may impair accuracy.
- Do not test the detector using pure gas or high-concentration gas. This may cause sensor carbon buildup, leading to inaccuracy, reduced sensor lifespan, or permanent damage.
- Ensure the detector is properly grounded to avoid radio frequency interference. Use the designated grounding point on the device. All shielding layers must be reliably grounded at the controller’s star grounding point or the detector’s grounding point. Handle sensors with care, as they may contain corrosive solutions.
- Avoid exposing the sensor to temperatures beyond the recommended range or immersing it in organic solvents/flammable liquids.
- Use explosion-proof cable glands with appropriate certification matching the detector’s explosion-proof rating.
II. Product Overview
- The detector features a rugged explosion-proof aluminum alloy housing with two M20×1.5 cable entry ports. Designed for industrial/commercial monitoring of combustible gases, it connects to compatible controllers for networked monitoring.
- Utilizes LBUS 4-wire communication for real-time transmission of gas concentration, fault, and alarm data. Includes one alarm relay output and one audible/visual alarm output.
- Equipped with an imported high-precision gas sensor with intelligent high-concentration flood protection.
- Modular sensor unit allows field replacement without recalibration.
III. Compliance Standards

VIII. Configuration & Operation
1. Operational States
1.1 Power-On:
- Green power LED lights steadily. The digital display shows the detector address, followed by a 3-minute sensor warmup countdown.
1.2 Monitoring Mode:
- Displays real-time gas concentration after warmup.
1.3 Alarm Mode:
- Red LEDs light for low/high alarms. Relays and audible/visual alarms activate.
1.4 Fault Mode:
- Yellow LED lights for faults:
- ERR1: Sensor fault (replace sensor or contact manufacturer).
- ERR2: Gas concentration exceeds range (recalibrate after confirming safety).
- ERR3: Audible/visual output short circuit (check wiring).
2. Calibration & Settings
Use infrared remote HK-8205 to enter password 8888.
- CO Zero Calibration: Perform in clean air for 10 minutes.
- C1 Calibration: Apply 50% LEL standard gas (500ml/min flow). Adjust displayed value to match gas concentration.
- A1/A2: Set low/high alarm thresholds (default: 25% and 50% LEL).
- Addr: Assign unique LBUS address for network communication.
