Combustible Gas Alarm Controller

Installation and Operation Manual

1. Product Overview

The HK2000 Combustible Gas Alarm Controller is designed for industrial environments. It works with our 4-20mA current-output gas detectors to form a gas alarm control system. When combustible gas or liquid vapors are detected in the monitored area, the detector transmits a 4-20mA current signal proportional to the gas concentration to the controller. The controller processes the signal, displays the gas concentration, and triggers audible/visual alarms and control signals if the concentration exceeds preset thresholds (low/high limits). This enables graded control to prevent accidents.

The HK2000 controller includes 3 relays for low-limit alarms, high-limit alarms, and faults.

Key Features

  • High-brightness LED display for real-time gas concentration monitoring and menu interaction.
  • Compliant with Chinese National Standard GB16808-2008 for combustible gas alarm controllers.

2. Installation and Wiring

2.1 Mounting

The HK2000 controller is wall-mounted. Drill two 10mm-diameter holes (depth: 40mm) at marked positions on the enclosure. Secure the unit to the wall using M6 expansion bolts.

2.2 Dimensions

(Note: Include dimensional drawings here if available.)

2.3 System Configuration

The HK2000 controller connects to detectors as shown in the system diagram.

3. Operation Guide

3.1 Display and Indicators

LED Indicators

  • Alarm: Lights when any detector triggers an alarm.
  • Fault: Lights when a detector or system fault occurs.
  • Main Power: Active during AC220V operation.
  • Backup Power: Active during battery operation.
  • Mute: Lights when alarms/faults are silenced.

Keypad Functions

  • Confirm: Accept inputs.
  • Exit: Return to previous menu.
  • Reset: Clear faults/alarms and restore defaults.
  • Self-Test: Test audible/visual alerts.
  • Query: Access event logs.
  • Settings: Enter configuration menu (password required).
  • Mute: Silence alarms/faults (new alarms reactivate sound).
  • Arrow Keys: Navigate menus.

3.2 Operational States

Normal Monitoring

LED displays real-time gas concentration.

Alarm States

  • Low-Limit Alarm: Gas concentration ≥ low threshold. Triggers audible/visual alerts and closes low-limit relay.
  • High-Limit Alarm: Gas concentration ≥ high threshold. Triggers louder alarms and closes high-limit relay.

Fault State

Detector/system faults trigger fault indicators, audible alerts, and close the fault relay. Alarms auto-clear when faults resolve.

Note:

  • Press Mute to silence alarms temporarily.
  • Press Reset to clear alarms after gas concentration drops below thresholds.

3.3 System Menu

Access Levels

  • Normal Access: View logs and mute alarms (no password).
  • Level 1 Access: Reset or self-test (default password: Left/Left/Left/Left for reset; Right/Right/Right/Right for self-test).
  • Level 2 Access: Configure parameters (default password: Up/Down/Left/Right).
